Pharmacological action
Surolan belongs to the group of antimicrobial and antifungal drugs.
In terms of its impact on the body, Surolan is classified as a low-hazard substance (class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76); in recommended doses, it does not have a local irritant, resorptive-toxic or sensitizing effect.
Indications
For the treatment of acute and chronic otitis externa (inflammation of the external auditory canal) and inflammatory skin diseases (dermatitis, pyodermatitis, dermatophytosis, infected wounds, abscesses) of bacterial and fungal etiology.
Recommended Use

Treatment with Surolan should be carried out 2 times a day until the clinical signs of the disease disappear and then continue for another 2-3 days, the total course of treatment should not exceed 15 days. In the complex therapy of otodectosis (ear scabies), complicated by otitis, Surolan is used in the same dose according to the same scheme. For skin diseases, Surolan is applied dropwise to the entire affected surface, after removing hair, dirt, necrotic tissue, pus and wound exudate from the affected and adjacent areas. Treatment should be carried out 1-2 times a day, the duration of treatment is determined by a veterinarian and depends on the degree of damage and the rate of tissue healing, but not more than 21 days.
Contraindications
Contraindication to use is individual intolerance to the components of the drug (including in the anamnesis). Surolan should not be used in case of perforation of the eardrum. Side effects
As a rule, there are no side effects or complications when using the drug according to the instructions.
Method of administration and dosage
For otitis, Surolan is instilled into the sore ear 3-5 drops, after the auricles and ear canal are cleared of earwax.

Storage conditions

Shelf life
The shelf life of the drug, subject to storage conditions, is 2 (two) years from the date of manufacture. It is prohibited to use the drug after the expiration date. Dispensed without a prescription from a veterinarian.
