Detailed description Cortavansi®   0.584 mg/ml Spray for external use for dogs Composition: Hydrocortisone aceponate 0.584 mg/ml. display: Treatment of dermatoses. To alleviate the clinical signs associated with atopic dermatitis. Target species: Dogs. Method of use and dosage: the drug is used externally on the skin. Before use, the dispenser must be screwed onto the medicine vial. The drug should be used in an open space or in a well-ventilated building. The drug should be sprayed from a height of 10 cm. Once a day for 7 days in dermatosis, in case of atopic dermatitis it can be used for 14 days. The recommended dose is 1.52 mcg of hydrocortisone aceponate/1cm3 of infected skin per day. The mentioned dose is obtained by pressing the sprayer twice, 10 cm x 10 cm square for the surface to be treated. The total volume of the treated body surface should not exceed about 1/3 of the dog's body, which corresponds to the treatment of both flanks including shoulders and hips. If long-term treatment is necessary, the dog should be constantly checked for inhibition of the hypothalamic-pituitary axis or skin atrophy. The treating veterinarian should determine the use of the drug based on a benefit/risk assessment. The product is in the form of a volatile spray and does not require rubbing. Side effects: in very rare cases, temporary local reactions (erythema and/or itching) may occur at the site of application. Not used: on ulcerated skin; in case of hypersensitivity to the active and/or auxiliary substance; in cats. It is used with caution during pregnancy and lactation. In puppies up to 7 months of age, it is used only by a veterinarian's decision. Storage conditions: Keep out of the reach of children. There are no special precautions for storage. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the label. Shelf life:  After first opening the package: 6 months.
