Composition
Sinulox tablets 250 mg are round pink tablets with a dividing groove on one side and the inscription "Sinulox" on the other side.

Each tablet contains 200 mg of amoxicillin in the form of amoxicillin trihydrate and 50 mg of clavulanic acid in the form of sodium clavulanate.

They are produced in packages of 10 pieces in foil strips, which are placed in cardboard boxes.

Pharmacological properties
Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum semisynthetic penicillin that has a rapid bactericidal effect on many gram-positive (Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Corynebacterium spp.) and gram-negative bacteria (Esсherichia coli, Salmonella, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Proteus spp., Pasteurella, Klebsiella), including b-lactamase-producing strains. Resistance to b-lactam antibacterial drugs is usually due to the ability of microorganisms to produce b-lactamase, an enzyme that destroys the b-lactam ring of the antibiotic before it can act on the bacterial cell. Clavulanic acid, which is part of Sinulox, inactivates b-lactamase and thereby restores the sensitivity of bacteria to the bactericidal action of amoxicillin in concentrations that are easily achieved in animal tissues after administration of the drug.

Indications for use
Prescribed for dogs and cats to treat bacterial infections: skin and soft tissue diseases (abscesses, pyoderma, inflammation of the paranal glands, gingivitis, stomatitis, etc.), respiratory diseases, genitourinary diseases and enteritis.

It is recommended to consult a veterinarian before use.

Method of administration and dosage
Sinulox tablets 250 mg are given to sick animals directly into the mouth or crushed together with food at a dose of 12.5 mg per 1 kg of animal weight (for example, for an animal weighing 26-35 kg - 1.5 tablets of sinulox 250 mg, for an animal weighing over 50 kg - 3 tablets of sinulox 250 mg) 2 times a day for 5-7 days.

If the disease is difficult to treat, especially with respiratory infections, the dose of sinulox can be increased by 2 times (up to 25 mg per 1 kg of animal weight) twice a day or the intervals between administrations of the drug can be reduced.

In case of chronic or difficult-to-treat diseases, often accompanied by significant tissue damage, a longer course of therapy with sinulox is recommended: the duration of treatment of chronic skin diseases and chronic cystitis is 10-28 days, respiratory diseases - 8-10 days.

Side effects
Allergic reactions are possible in hypersensitive animals. With proper use and dosage, side effects are not observed.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Sinulox, like other penicillin antibiotics, is not allowed to be prescribed to rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils. The drug should be used with great caution in other types of small herbivores.

Special precautions
No special precautions are provided. The use of the drug is not indicated for pseudomonas infection. Sinulox tablets 250 mg can be used as an alternative to injectable forms of antibiotics in the treatment of small animals.

Storage conditions
In a dry place inaccessible to children at a temperature not exceeding 25 ºС.
