Injectable solution for dogs and cats
Composition (per 1 ml):Active substance:
Meloxicam – 5 mg
Excipients:
Ethanol 96% (v/v) – 159.74 mg
Clear, yellow or yellowish-green solution.
Target Species:Dogs and cats
Indications:Dogs:
  • Relief of inflammation and pain associated with acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders
  • Relief of postoperative pain and inflammation following orthopedic and soft tissue surgery
Cats:
  • Relief of postoperative pain following ovariohysterectomy and minor soft tissue surgery
  • Dosage and Administration: Musculoskeletal disorders (dogs):Administer subcutaneously
  • Dose: 0.4 ml / 10 kg body weight
Continuation of treatment:
  • After 24 hours, treatment may be continued with Meloxicam Bioveta 1.5 mg/ml oral suspension
  • Dose: 0.1 mg meloxicam / kg body weight
  • Postoperative pain relief (dogs):Administer intravenously or subcutaneously
  • Dose: 0.4 ml / 10 kg body weight
  • Administer before surgery (e.g., during anesthesia)
  • Postoperative pain relief (cats):Administer subcutaneously
  • Dose: 0.06 ml / kg body weight
  • Administer before surgery (e.g., during anesthesia)
Adverse Reactions:Occasionally observed (typical for NSAIDs):
  • Loss of appetite
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Occult blood in feces
  • Apathy
  • Renal failure
Very rare:
  • Increased liver enzymes
  • Pseudoanaphylactic reactions (require symptomatic treatment)
Rare (in dogs):
  • Hemorrhagic diarrhea
  • Bloody vomiting
  • Gastrointestinal ulceration
Adverse reactions typically occur within the first week of treatment, are usually transient, and resolve after discontinuation. In very rare cases, they may be serious or fatal.
If adverse reactions occur, discontinue treatment and consult a veterinarian.

Contraindications:Do not use:
  • In pregnant or lactating animals
  • In animals with gastrointestinal disorders (irritation or bleeding)
  • In animals with liver, heart, or kidney dysfunction
  • In animals with hemorrhagic disorders
  • In cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or excipients
  • In animals younger than 6 weeks
  • In cats weighing less than 2 kg
Pregnancy and Lactation:Safety has not been established during pregnancy and lactation.
Withdrawal Period:Not applicable (not intended for food-producing animals).
