Indications and rules of use
Ricarfa tablets with meat flavor are used for dogs:
- during inflammation and pain syndrome, which develops in the musculoskeletal system during acute and chronic diseases;
- as an analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent in the postoperative period.
The drug is used individually, orally, with a daily dose of Carprofen at 4.0 mg/kg, (the practical dose is 1 tablet per 12.5 kg/live weight), which is recommended to be divided into two parts. After 7 days of treatment, taking into account clinical signs, it is recommended to reduce the dose to 2 mg/kg. The duration of the treatment course in the case of diseases of the musculoskeletal system depends on the condition of the animal and is determined by the treating veterinarian.
Storage conditions: the medicinal product is stored in a closed package produced by the manufacturer, away from food products and food, in a place inaccessible to sunlight and children, at a temperature from 0 to -250C.
Shelf life: 3 years. Use of the drug after the expiration date is prohibited.
Side effects: like other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, it can cause irritation of the mucous membrane, in case of overdose, disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, vomiting and diarrhea are observed.
It is forbidden to use:
- For lactating dogs, its use during lactation is determined based on a benefit-risk assessment by a veterinarian.
- It is not allowed to use together with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as well as within 24 hours before or after taking them.
