In the event that treatment for the prevention of dirofilariasis is required and at the same time treatment against cestodes is necessary, the mentioned product may be replaced by a monovalent product intended for the prevention of dirofilariasis.
Tips for proper use: For the treatment of Angiostrongylus vasorum infestations, milbemycin oxime should be used 4 times at one-week intervals. When anti-cestodes are treated concurrently with other drugs, it is recommended to administer the product once and then continue treatment with a monovalent milbemycin oxime replacement product for the remaining three weeks. In endemic areas, if treatment against cestodes is carried out simultaneously with other drugs, taking the product every 4 weeks makes it possible to prevent angiostrongylosis in immature adults (L5) and adults by reducing parasites. For the treatment of Thelazia callipaeda, milbemycin oxime should be given twice, seven days apart. When anti-cestodes are treated with other drugs, the product may be replaced by a monovalent product containing only milbemycin oxime.
Side Effects: Very rarely, dogs may experience hypersensitivity reactions, systemic symptoms (such as lethargy), neurological symptoms (such as muscle tremors, ataxia and convulsions) and/or gastrointestinal symptoms (such as vomiting, diarrhoea, anorexia and drooling) after receiving the veterinary medicinal product. ).
